Strategies

Power House serves the Grand Rapids area through the following strategies:

1. Sidewalk Sunday School - Our program is fast-paced and filled with fun games, songs, and a life changing message. During the warm months we use bright orange trucks equipped with drop down stages. During the cooler months we bring our program inside buildings.
2. Bible Adventures - Each week the children are given “home work” with 4 to 6 questions that pertain to the lesson that was taught that day. The Bible Adventures are used to reinforce the lesson that was taught and to help bring God’s Word in the home of each child. Those who complete 13 Bible Adventures get to play laser tag for free.
3. Leaders In Training (LIT) - Teens who show leadership abilities are encouraged to join the LIT program. In this program, the teens are mentored and trained to be leaders. When the teens are finished with the program, they should have the ability to run their own Power House site.
4. Networking - We believe it is vital to partner with other ministries and organizations in the community to most effectively minister to these kids.  Each organization that gets involved is able to bring a unique strength or resource to the table.
